Mt. Begbie Revelstoke First Look - Erin Shepley Photography

What could be better than attending a Workshop Retreat in beautiful Revelstoke BC only to find out that the couple modeling is actually getting married - right in front of your eyes?! Eep! Well that's what happened when Erin of Erin Shepley Photography and many other wedding industry vendors, attended this Wild Rose Weddings + Workshops retreat in 2019.

Several photographers attended the workshop, each capturing these moments with their own unique style. And I am just SO excited to share this absolutely stunning gallery from Erin; who just happens to be one of the newest members here at AWS, by the way! Erin's ability to capture raw, real moments is so evident in every image. I'm certain you will love these First Look moments as much as I do! Be sure to check out the full list of vendors at the end. Enjoy! :)

From Heather, owner and founder of Wild Rose Weddings + Workshops:

"An epic moment was bound to happen when we started planning a helicopter ride to the top of Mt. Begbie for our Wild Rose Workshop Retreat...and we weren’t disappointed!

Our hosts at Eagle Pass Lodge in Revelstoke, BC introduced our team to the folks at Glacier Helicopters, and they made our ‘first look’ dreams a reality. We sent one group of attendees up with Sean, and he prepared to see his bride for the first time on a mountaintop. The second group went with Lindsay, our bride, and the excitement built as she took in the scenery and saw him standing on the glacier waiting for her to arrive. Bucket list moment - check!"

From Erin:

"Lindsay & Sean had the most incredible first look experience imaginable. Taken to the top of a mountain separately via helicopter, this couple saw each other for the first time on their wedding day surrounded by the most breathtaking scenery. After taking in their emotional first moments of seeing each other, we spent as much time as we could photographing all around the landscape and every view was absolutely gorgeous. We also made sure to take some photos inside the helicopter which was also a great way for the couple to warm up from the cold temperatures. This was truly the most memorable first look and I was honored to be a small part of it"

From Heather:

"Our team of lead photographer, guide and attendees watched Lindsay + Sean have that special moment atop Mt. Begbie, and captured it and the scenery beautifully all before arriving in the moss covered forest where they exchanged vows in a surprise elopement. Our attendees learned moments before heading to the helicopter pad that they would be witnessing our models get married for real that afternoon! Another bucket list moment - check!

Erin also acted as second shooter for the entire day and photographed the couple getting ready, as well as the entire elopement alongside our lead photographer, Kimberly. You can see more of Erin’s images on her website"
